“I really enjoyed my time in Essaouira. It is a beautiful town and a nice change of pace from Marrakech. I enjoyed seeing the medina (white and blue trim), the city walls, the beach and ocean. It is a looong trip from Marrakech though... it took us nearly 4 hours on the way there b/c of the obligatory Argan oil cooperative stop and then just over 3 hours on the way back (because of bad traffic). But the 4-4.5 hours in Essaouira were very enjoyable. It is mostly a convenient transfer for tourists.”
